The Carolina Panthers beat the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 at home in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game to set up a Super Bowl 50 matchup with the Denver Broncos.
Earlier Sunday, the Broncos beat the New England Patriots by a score of 20-18 to earn their own berth in the NFL’s championship game, set for Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
It will be only the second Super Bowl appearance for the Panthers in the team’s 21-season history. They lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 and lost in the NFC Championship Game in 1997 and 2006.
