You may remember some years ago that Tom Cruise helped someone who was in an accident in L.A. (and then did it again years later.) Now his Collateral co-star Jamie Foxx has done the same thing. Multiple reports say that Foxx, in photos of the crash captured by the Facebook group Safety For Citizens, a community crime prevention group in the area, helped a car accident victim outside his Hidden Hills, California home.

Safety for Citizens post reads:

This time it’s not acting for the camera, but the outcome is the same, right on point.

8:39pm, CHP and Ventura County Fire responded to Potrero and Hidden Valley in Westlake for an overturned vehicle on fire. Potrero was shut down in both directions.

The accident occurred on the roadway in front of Jamie Foxx’s residence gate. The following are some of the statements according to what Jamie Foxx told CHP as witnessed by myself.

Jamie told CHP that he heard the accident and also a person screaming from the overturned vehicle. Jamie also made a 911 call. Jamie said he was able to reach into the vehicle, grab the person, and drag them away to safety.

The person was transported from the scene with what CHP has declared are major injuries. Another person on scene said the person had suffered severe facial burns. Wish the victim the best for a speedy and healthy recovery.

VC Fire put out the vehicle fire. Roadways were opened as of 10:16pm according to CHP. Pictures taken by Safety for Citizens.

Well, all right Jamie Foxx! He may be showing off similar heroism in his next big movie Robin Hood: Origins, in pre-production now.

Foxx later shared a photo of him meeting the man’s grateful father via his IG. He captioned the pic:

Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother’s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.
