Charter Communication safety trainer Kevin Galloway (R) of Greenville, South Carolina was in Sunnyside this week teaching a class in the art of pole climbing to Charter Communications’ new hires from around the Northwest.

In attendance were participants from the Valley as well as personnel from Coos Bay and LaGrande, Oregon and Walla Walla to name a few.

The new recruits under the guidance of Galloway took to a pole on NW Crescent Avenue for their training Wednesday afternoon. Here, Galloway instructs Derrick Groomes of Omak on the correct technique and safety issues surrounding proper pole climbing.
