Nevada authorities have taken a blood sample from Lamar Odom to find out if he overdosed on drugs or alcohol, but the results could take several weeks.

Nye County Sheriff’s Detective Michael Eisenloffel said at a news conference Wednesday that Las Vegas police will be doing the testing.

Sheriff Sharon Wehrly says a Love Ranch employee called 911 on Tuesday to report Odom was found unresponsive at the legal brothel with blood and a “white substance” coming from his nose and mouth.

The caller reported Odom did cocaine Saturday and had taken up to 10 tabs of a sexual performance enhancer over the past three days.

Eisenloffel described the enhancers as supplements and said Odom bought them at the brothel.

The former NBA star and reality TV personality is on life support at a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious at the Crystal, Nevada, brothel.

A Nevada sheriff says a person who called 911 to report that Lamar Odom was found unconscious at a brothel said the former NBA star had been doing cocaine and had taken sexual performance enhancers.

Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly says an employee for Love Ranch told 911 dispatchers that Odom was found unresponsive with blood coming from his nose and mouth.

The caller said Odom had been doing cocaine and had taken up to 10 tabs of a sexual performance enhancer over three days.

After the former NBA star was found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel, friends and family have rushed to his bedside, including Reverend Jesse Jackson. After departing from the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Jesse took the time to update reporters on Lamar’s status.

One Twitter user, @billoram, was present outside the hospital and live-tweeted Jesse’s words. When asked if he thought Lamar was on life support, Jesse responded “I would think so,” and later added: “Doctors felt he is much better off today than he was yesterday. At least there is some responsiveness now.”

Jesse also offered insight into how his ex Khloe Kardashian is holding up: “She’s strong and she’s hopeful and she’s acting and loving and by his side.”

However, TMZ is reporting that Lamar has suffered multiple strokes: “We’re told an MRI revealed since being admitted to the hospital in Las Vegas Tuesday night, Lamar suffered multiple strokes. It’s unclear if brain damage resulted from the strokes. We’re also told Lamar is on a 3-5 hour dialysis for kidney failure. Our sources say Lamar remains unconscious and unresponsive, which is in contrast to what Jesse Jackson just told the media.”

TMZ continues: “Our sources inside the hospital say Jackson was allowed in for 3 minutes to pray with him, and that was it. The sources say Jackson is flat-out wrong about Lamar’s condition.”

Looks like we’ll have to wait for confirmed news on Lamar’s condition to come from his doctors.

Kobe Bryant and Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak are said to have held up the Lakers team plane to visit Odom, who despite his issues is well-liked among present NBA players. Several including Dwyane Wade, Derek Fisher and Shaquille O’Neal have expressed their support and offered their prayers. E! Entertainment television offered its support to Odom and the Kardashian family and says it’s not currently filming the family through this crisis.

Lamar’s former girlfriend, Liza Morales and their two children, 17-year-old Lamar, Jr. and 13-year-old Destiny are on their way from New York to Las Vegas, the Daily Mail reports. They also say Lamar and Liza were heading to court soon to continue and ongoing child custody and child support dispute. Other sources are reporting that despite signing divorce papers, Lamar’s pending divorce to Khloe Kardashian has not been fully dissolved.

Multiple reports are circulating based on quotes from the Love Ranch personnel where Odom was found is that Odom may have been upset after the Sunday night airing of a repeat of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which shows Khloe hoping that her estranged husband wasn’t “spiraling out of control” after the drug-related death of his childhood friend.

The Daily Mail spoke to Odom’s father, Joe Odom, and his paternal grandmother, Florence Odom.

He told Hollywood Life: ‘Somebody drugged my son. There’s no way he’s down there partying crazy like that. No way. I knew something was wrong because I’ve been calling him all day and he hasn’t been answering.

‘I need all his fans to send him well wishes. If Khloe knows anything about this, please, tell her to call me. We all love Lamar and want him to pull through this.’

Lamar’s paternal grandmother Florence Odom has also spoken out about her grandson.

‘I’m praying to God. I’m asking God to please let him survive,’ she told NBC News.

Mrs Odom says the last time she saw her grandson was in March 2014 for a funeral.

‘Lamar is special,’ she added. ‘He made himself a name all over the world. And he’s just a cutie.’
