POSTED BY WLAS June 12th, 2013 0 COMMENTS

BobbyJones As businesses small and large look to take advantage of the strengthening economy, many are looking forward to the 3rd Annual Upstate Black expo.

The event, produced by Thomas Media Group, producers of Black Pages USA, will take place at the TD Center, Saturday June 15th from 10am – 7pm.

“We’re excited to bring Black Expo back to the Upstate this year so that entrepreneurs and business owners can continue to network and developed great relationships with Upstate consumers” said Darrin Thomas, president of TMG.

Dr. Bobby Jones will host the Five Thousand Dollar Gospel Best Competition where regional singers, choirs and praise dancer compete on the main stage. Also returning is the Greek Village, where the nine African-American Greek Letter Organizations urge participation of their colleagues for the Greek Attendance award and vie for the Best Greek Display.

The 3rd Annual Upstate Black Expo will also feature food, vendors and musical performances by former American Idol winner Fantasia, Alexis Speight, Young Mieo. Actor Lance Gross from the hit movie Temptation, Chef Thomas Daniel, Paul Garrick Brunson of the OWN Network and Max Siegel from NASCAR will be there to greet Upstate guests and sign autographs.

Admission is $15.00, for tickets and more information, the public can visit BlackExpoSouth.com and tickets are available at the door.
