Lamar Odom’s recovery has accelerated. The former NBA star showed up at brother-in-law Kanye West’s fashion show today. This was Odom’s first appearance since he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last year.

After a series of strokes that were reportedly caused by cocaine and “natural” Viagra, Odom was rushed to the hospital in Vegas and then released to a California rehab. Although he and Khloe Kardashian were in the midst of finalizing a divorce, Khloe elected to remain married to Odom so that she could be his health advocate. Since his hospitalization, conflicting reports have surfaced about Odom’s recovery and how much progress he’s made.

That speculation was answered today when Odom made an appearance in New York at West’s show. TMZ caught him on the way to his private jet ride to New York with Khloe earlier in the week.

On Thursday, the former NBA star made his first public appearance since his nearly fatal overdose in October to attend Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Wearing a green military jacket, Odom walked behind West after the rest of the family filed in. He sat down next to estranged wife Khloé Kardashian.
