Have You Seen Her? Virginia Teen Sanise Diamonique Hall Still Missing

Over a month ago now, Sanise Diamonique Hall, 14, went missing from her Suffolk, Virginia home. Her parents are still seeking answers about her disappearance though it’s believed she may have run off with a man posing as a talent scout on the Internet. In August, Virginia’s 13newsnow.com reports that an unidentified male called police but did not leave a name and his number was blocked. Police still want to talk to the man, but he has not called back.

Newsone.com in partnership with the Black and Missing Foundation is releasing more information about Hall in the hopes that she might be found. Hundred of thousands of African-Americans go missing each year and the longer they are missing the harder it is for them to be found. That this happened to a family that was well aware of the dangers of the Internet and took precautions, keeping abreast of their daughters’ social media accounts is particularly sad.

News One Reports:

Denise Allen told 10WAVY.com that her daughter had emailed with someone posing as a talent scout days before she disappeared. “I’m not really sure what enticed her, what was said or what was promised to get her to leave, because it’s not like her,” Allen told the station.

Allen intervened when she found out that her daughter was communicating with this individual and restricted her social media use, she told The Virginian-Pilot. She also warned Sanise about the dangers of communicating with strangers.

Suffolk Police representatives told NewsOne that contact with a person claiming to be a talent scout is one angle they are investigating.

“During the course of their investigation, police have reviewed multiple social media accounts and have been in contact with friends and followers of those accounts, but there has been no activity on those accounts since the day she went missing. Further, they have been in contact with local friends of the teen, as well as local and out-of-state family members,” added a spokeswoman for Suffolk Police in the statement.

Allen and police are especially worried because Sanise left home without her medications. Sanise had recent surgery for scoliosis and was also taking anti-depressants.

Suffolk Police say they have received more than 20 tips placing Sanise in restaurants, supermarkets, and other locations in states ranging from Virginia and North Carolina to Florida. “No one was ever seen accompanying the individual in the tips that have been received,” say Suffolk Police.
